BraytonHughes Design Studios has unveiled design details of the Village, the new expansion at the Yellowstone Club, a private residential ski and golf resort located northwest of the eponymous national park in Big Sky, Montana.
“All the spaces incorporating the village are completely different. It is equipped with various experiences including a specialty restaurant and other dining options”, says the studio. Epitomizing Western living, the results throughout the resort speak to the new chapter of Old West style.
The expansion encompasses three new buildings, each with amenity spaces on the first floors and private residences above. The classic design of the Village’s signature restaurant draws its inspiration from Montana’s rugged landscape, using raw materials and thick wood textures. Meantime, the new specialty restaurant and bar tap the stylistic trappings of a modern barn with a high, octagonal ceiling and large wooden doors. A grand stone wall frames a large fireplace. Fashioned as an old mine, the new après bar offers high ceilings supported by reclaimed wooden planks, and the light fixtures resemble old oil lamps. The intimate space is decorated with vintage furniture, antiques and charming period signage.
