The Bulgari Resort Dubai is slated to debut this December as the newest urban oasis in its lineup of opulent retreats. Designed by frequent Bulgari collaborators Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, the property will open along Jumeirah Bay on a seahorse-shaped island. Drawing inspiration from European boulevards, the property will be appointed with illuminated gardens and pools and blend Mediterranean landscaping with the natural surroundings of the Arabian Gulf.
A maritime theme will permeate across the resort, accented with luxe Italian marble and coral-inspired exteriors. All elements will be custom designed or handpicked for uniformity and elegance. The resort will be home to 101 guestrooms as well as 20 hotel villas that all boast luxury Italian furniture and expansive views of the Dubai skyline or the Arabian Gulf from large balconies. Ranging in size from 1,880 to 5,800 square feet, the resort’s villas will span five configurations and one to three bedrooms. The 5,812-square-foot Bulgari Villa will be equipped with a large living area, sunken bathtub, and private garden with an outdoor swimming pool. All villas will include private pools and gazebos.
The resort will also be home to the inaugural 50-boat Bulgari Marina & Yacht Club. Designed akin to a Mediterranean village, the marina and club will house the Yacht Club Italian Restaurant, the members lounge, an outdoor pool and bar, the children’s club, and the 3,875-square-foot BVLGARI Ballroom. The indoor-outdoor Il Ristorante (which will be appointed with a steel and bronze oval bar) and the lobby lounge Il Café will serve as additional dining spaces. The 18,300-square-foot BVLGARI Spa will feature eight treatment rooms, an 82-foot-long indoor pool clad with floor-to-ceiling windows, and access to the onsite fitness center.
