Caesars Entertainment has announced plans to upgrade more than 4,800 rooms this year at four of its Las Vegas resorts, and more than 900 rooms at three regional casinos in Atlantic City, and Biloxi and Tunica, Mississippi, totaling more than 5,700 owned or managed rooms across the enterprise. The renovation will encompass approximately 20 percent of rooms in Las Vegas, and 15 percent of total rooms throughout the company. At the end of 2016, Caesars Entertainment will have updated more than 10,000 rooms over the last three years.
The upgrades include the transformation of the original tower at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace to create the 586-room Julius tower, as well as the refurbishment of the existing 948-room Augustus tower. Additional room upgrades in the city will take place at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, including 1,294 rooms and suites; Paris Las Vegas, including 1,320 rooms and suites; and Harrah’s Las Vegas, which will overhaul 672 rooms in the south tower. The upgrades at all four hotels will include modern room designs, enhanced in-room electronics, new furnishings, and softgoods, as well as refurbished bathrooms. The suites at Planet Hollywood will be outfitted with retro round beds and hanging daybeds.
Harrah’s Gulf Coast, Caesars Atlantic City, and Horseshoe Tunica will also complete renovations—with Caesars Atlantic City expected to renovate 274 rooms; Harrah’s Gulf Coast 499 rooms; and Horseshoe Tunica 193 rooms. The room renovations at Harrah’s Gulf Coast and Horseshoe Tunica will feature fresh room designs complete with modern wallcoverings, lighting, and wood finishes.
“These enhancements will substantially improve room product at four of our resorts in Las Vegas, and three regional casinos consistent with our commitment to exceed our guests’ expectations,” says Mark P. Frissora, president and CEO of Caesars Entertainment. “We are re-investing in our room product to ensure that our guests’ in-room experience perfectly aligns with the extraordinary entertainment offerings we have developed and upgraded in recent years.”
