Guatemalan luxury hotel Casa Palopó has unveiled its expansion with six new guestrooms and suites, which brings the room count to 15. Industrial designer Diego Olivero oversaw the design of the accommodations, which comprise two deluxe kings, two king junior suites, one superior queen, and one king suite.
The rooms and suites were built into the newly expanded wing of the main hotel building, overlooking the pool and surrounding nature. Olivero finished each of the guestroom furnishings by hand to convey a rustic note, creating a modern, contemporary aesthetic that complements the hotel’s overall colorful flair. Palettes vary from soft hues of yellow to blue, red, and lavender. Fully equipped bathrooms are outfitted with glass-cased rainfall showers and standalone bathtubs in select rooms.
A new space for wellness and relaxation has also be added following the transformation of a previous guestroom into the hotel spa.
