Sage Hospitality and Walnut Development Partners have announced that the forthcoming Catbird hotel will debut in Denver’s River North Art District in spring 2021. Situated in a historic four-bedroom abode, the independent hotel concept will transform and expand the residence to host a total of 165 guestrooms. Local firm Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects will handle the design of the building, while DLR Group oversees guestroom design and Swan Dive Design Studio spearheads the lobby and rooftop.
Catbird will pay homage to the surrounding neighborhood and foster a greater sense of belonging for guests in the community. The creative lobby will serve as an apt hub for socializing and a showcase of an extensive art collection. In addition to a grab-and-go venue and a bar, Catbird will be crowned with a 3,300-square-foot indoor-outdoor rooftop patio endowed with lounge seating and firepits. Each accommodation will be outfitted with full kitchens and high-end houseware, as well as novel storage solutions and multifunctional furnishings.
