Part of Design Hotels, the historic Troutbeck estate in New York’s Hudson Valley has completed the first of its three renovation phases from Alexandra Champalimaud of New York firm Champalimaud Design. The stone-clad Manor House has unveiled 17 guestrooms and suites, as well as several public spaces including a farm-to-table dining room. Thirty-three guestrooms will be introduced this month.
Set upon 45 acres in Amenia, New York, the retreat retains much of its original charm, boasting restored stone and wood floors, striking mantles, and unique spatial architecture. Interiors are appointed with contemporary enhancements that showcase the individuality of each room through rich color schemes and handpicked furniture and fixtures. The 76-seat dining room is outfitted with a selection of leather-clad, crescent-shaped booths as well as a grand fireside farm table, while the main dining area features an intimate, copper-topped bar.
Indoor private event spaces include the 3,500-square-foot ballroom and bar, the 850-square-foot Gallery, the 500-square-foot Sunroom, and the 200-square-foot Gun Room. Outside, the property accommodates events with the 1916 Walled Garden, Pool Deck and Grill, or the rustic, tin roofed Pole Barn.
