The Château Élan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia, has unveiled its comprehensive $25 million redesign from Atlanta-based architecture and design practice BLUR Workshop. Set within the idyllic foothills of northern Georgia, the property has been remodeled to honor its storied past through timeless touches that complement its 16th-century charm.
Drawing inspiration from the rolling hills and vineyards of the locale, interiors channel a sense of place with locally sourced artwork a color palette of gray and taupe with accents of chartreuse, turquoise, and gold. Warm wood details are illuminated beneath elegant lighting like the hotel’s custom, 1,400-piece glass chandelier, while industrial features including tufted leather, wrought iron, and carved limestone offset the classic aesthetic with an industrial one. The central lobby has been updated with wingback chairs and a limestone fireplace in addition to the new coffee and wine spot Le Petit Café. The sports bar Louis’ House of Bourbon is another new addition to the site, reminiscent of an Old World speakeasy complete with wood panels, leather furniture, and neon signage.
Each of the hotel’s 251 guestrooms and 24 suites boast sleek new looks that comprise custom carpeting and freestanding vanities. A backdrop of gray and taupe simplifies the overall backdrop with complements to walnut, brushed oak, and studded leather details.
