2023 is slated to become a landmark year for citizenM, which will introduce three new properties through the third quarter of the year. Frequent collaborator concrete will serve as the design architect on each of the forthcoming units.
First to debut will be the brand’s second Miami hotel: the citizenM Miami World Center. Surrounded by a mix of retail, hospitality, and entertainment spaces, the 351-room property will be characterized by sculptures crafted by Los Angeles art collaboration FriendsWithYou lining its façade. Four spacious and sundrenched societyM meeting rooms will be housed onsite along with a large rooftop pool and bar atop the 11th floor.
Also arriving in the first quarter of the year, citizenM Paris Opera will mark the brand’s fifth flag planted in the City of Light. The 84-room urban retreat will be among the smallest in the citizenM portfolio, offering a boutique-style atmosphere that includes a pair of societyM rooms, a 24-hour canteenM, and commissioned artwork from locally based Amélie Bertrand.
Finally, citizenM will grow its U.S. footprint further with the addition of its maiden outpost in Austin. Housed across a 17-story tower, the 344-room citizenM Austin Downtown will draw inspiration from the eclectic spirit of the Texas capital, enlivening interiors with contemporary artwork and objets d’art sourced locally. A rooftop pool and bar will serve as key social hubs along with canteenM.
