Design firm Morpheus London has revealed its design for Club Thirty Nine, a new wellness-focused private members club in Monaco that balances the glamour of Monégasque culture with contemporary elegance. Founded by rugby player Ross Beattie, the club aims to reinterpret the conventions of a lifestyle club with an emphasis on health.
Spread across three floors and nearly 20,000 square feet, the club comprises a laidback lounge, a private restaurant, two outdoor terraces, a spa and beauty wing, a 7,500-square-foot fitness center, and four onsite treatment rooms.
Club Thirty Nine welcomes visitors with a 1960s-era façade restored to highlight its Art Deco notes, while a double-height entrance hall showcases the striking Grace Chandelier, named for the late princess of Monaco. Conceived by Morpheus, the eight-foot-long centerpiece is crafted to mirror Princess Grace’s wedding bouquet with a delicate arrangement of Lily of the Valley, ribbons, and sprigs.
The women’s changing room is modeled to resemble a lounge with banquette seating installed against a backdrop of soft beige marble, polished plaster, intricate joinery, bespoke mirrors, and bronze details. The men’s changing area evokes a masculine flair with dark leather and deep navy tones.
