In partnership with Australian property development and investment company FJM Property, COMO Hotels and Resorts has expanded its pipeline with COMO the Treasury, a new property under development in Perth.
To open this October in the city’s central business district, the hotel will join 12 other COMO locations as its first in Australia. It will also be part of Cathedral Square Development—a new city-center development designed by Singapore-based Australian architect Kerry Hill. The site will include renovated, 140-year-old government buildings that were once used as a town hall, post office, land titles office, and treasury before reconstruction began in 2012.
Also designed by Kerry Hill and repurposed from a 19th-century heritage building, COMO the Treasury will feature re-installed dormer windows and restored rooftop copper trimmings. Forty-eight guestrooms and suites averaging 750 square feet feature European-inspired furnishings, large windows, and ensuite bathrooms featuring freestanding oval tubs.
The F&B program will include a rooftop fine-dining option, a casual ground-floor restaurant, and a spacious lounge bar. Additional amenities include meeting rooms, a gym, a heated indoor pool, and a wellness center with yoga and Pilates.
