Chicago-based architecture firm Goettsch Partners (GP) and Hong Kong-based design studio Lead 8 have revealed their collaborative designs for the China Horoy Qianhai Guanze mixed-use development in Shenzhen’s Qianhai district. Spread across five buildings and 3,444,450 square feet, the complex will house two Class A office towers, more than 538,000 square feet of retail, two serviced apartment buildings, and a 5-Star hotel from Hilton.
The Conrad Shenzhen property will feature 298 guestrooms, amenity floors, onsite dining, and landscaped rooftop gardens on its western side. Amenity spaces will be situated to face the adjacent green belt and Qianhai Bay, while floor-to-ceiling windows in each guestroom will maximize the sweeping natural and city views. A 12,900-square-foot ballroom will also be featured among the hotel’s nearly 26,700 square feet of event space.
Construction is scheduled to kick off later this year, and the property is slated to open in December 2019.
