The Hyatt Place Niagara Falls in New York has broken ground. Rockville, Maryland-based firms Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A) and HVS Design are collaborating with Buffalo, New York-based studio Carmina Wood Morris (CWM) to craft the forthcoming $35-million project. JN+A is the design architect, while CWM serves as the architect of record, and HVS is handling interior design.
The six-story, 128-room hotel will offer easy access to both Niagara Falls and the Niagara Reservation State Park. With stunning scenic views, the hotel’s top floor will house 14,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space, and 7,000 square feet of retail will be included on the ground floor along Old Falls Street.
The 111,000-square-foot Hyatt Place Niagara Falls, which is owned by Buffalo-based Hamister Group, is expected to open next fall.
