HVS Design and Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A) will redesign the Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport Hotel in Herndon, Virginia, located four miles from Dulles International Airport.
The $7 million project will include the revamp of the lobby, club lounge, pre-function area, corridors, 327 guestrooms and suites, as well as an expanded fitness center that fits the brand’s new prototypical concept, as imagined by HVS Design. The hotel’s design embraces a tailored to travel concept with timeless, relaxed silhouettes juxtaposed with sporty textures and tailored patterns. 

A wood feature wall that, from a distance, has the appearance of a textured weave but up close the intricacy of the staggered brick pattern becomes apparent will greet guests in the lobby. A monolithic stone desk appears to float off an adjacent wall, creating an open reception area.
Clean lines within residential-style guestrooms will also highlight a curated collection of travel-inspired art.
Owned and managed by SharCon Management, the Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport Hotel is slated to open early next year.
