Continuing its global expansion, Hilton Worldwide has debuted Curio – A Collection by Hilton in Kansas City, Missouri and the UAE.
The two-tower Rosemont Hotel and Residences—owned by Royal International—will be located in Dubai when it opens in 2018. It will sit opposite Dubai Internet City, which is nearby the city’s key business districts and attractions, such as Mall of the Emirates and Jumeirah Beach.
Designed by architect Kieferle & Partner, locally inspired interiors will comprise 450 guestrooms and 280 serviced apartments.
Amenities will include four meeting rooms, two boardrooms, one multifunctional space, three restaurants, a lobby café, two bars, a gym, an outdoor pool, and a spa.
Recently acquired by Arbor Lodging Partners, the historic Hotel Phillips—located in downtown Kansas City—is also slated to join Curio.
The 217-room, full-service property originally debuted in 1931 and has been listed on the National Registry of Historic Places since 1979. It is located near a number of popular nightlife destinations, the Sprint Center, and the Kansas City Convention Center.
At one time the city’s tallest building, the hotel features an Art Deco aesthetic, with the lobby boasting bronze and nickel metalwork and lustrous walnut paneling. It will undergo a total refresh before joining Curio.
Amenities will include approximately 11,000 square feet of meeting and pre-function space and the 12 Baltimore restaurant and bar.
