The Dalmar hotel, Fort Lauderdale’s latest new-build lifestyle property, is set to debut this summer as a new addition in Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. Designed by Miami-based architecture firm SOL-ARCH, the 25-story property will draw inspiration from the vibrancy of South Florida combined with a midcentury California flair in an interior design from Toronto-based DesignAgency.
The arrival experience on the sixth floor will be punctuated with a landscaped, wraparound sky deck with framed views of the ocean and downtown. The pool deck will be appointed with cabanas outfitted with custom furnishings alongside the Sip N’ Dip pool bar. The lobby bar will also act as an experiential convivial spot with custom stained glass artwork, terrazzo flooring, and comfortable lounge seating. The American bistro concept the Terrace Grill will open on the ground floor with soaring ceilings and whitewashed walls. Clad with a curved banquette, the restaurant will also boast an outdoor veranda. Influenced by the golden age of American travel, Sparrow will also debut on the 25th floor with a handsome, midcentury modern aesthetic. Additional F&B options include a lobby lounge and bar, as well as Rose’s Coffee Bar.
More than 40 suites will be featured among the 209 guestrooms, equipped with keyless entry and in-room Amazon Alexa automation. All accommodations will be crafted with neutral tones, leather, natural woods, and marble bathrooms. Artwork inspired by Slim Aarons will also adorn the walls. The hotel will also house 9,000 square feet of indoor event space across the fourth and fifth floors, while 5,000 square feet of outdoor space including Sparrow and the pool deck will maximize the tropical scenery.
