Dream Hotel Group has revealed plans to launch its next outpost in Cleveland, Ohio. Slated for a 2022 opening, the Dream Cleveland will debut as part of a larger mixed-use development within the city’s historic Masonic Temple, atop the TempleLive music venue. Locally based architecture firm Bialosky will spearhead the project’s design, and has already executed the initial stabilization and preservation work.
Originally designed by prominent Cleveland firm Hubbell & Benes in 1921, the Masonic Temple totals seven stories and 226,000 square feet. The expansion and revitalization of the property is drawn from an initial proposal for a hotel bar elevated above the historic structure. An undulating form will punctuate the façade to establish its dynamic presence and frame unobstructed views of downtown and Lake Erie.
Upon completion, Dream Cleveland will be home to 207 chic accommodations, in addition to amenities like 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 2,300-seat theater, and numerous dining and nightlife venues.
