Iconic hospitality figure Ian Schrager’s EDITION Hotels brand is set to roll out three openings this year to underscore its international expansion efforts.
The brand will make its Japanese debut with the Tokyo EDITION Toranomon in mid-2020, which will rise as part of the redevelopment of the mixed-use Pastoral Building. Designed in partnership with Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the 205-key hotel will be home to four F&B venues, various meeting and event spaces, as well as an upscale spa and fitness amenities. The cocktail concept Punch Room, an EDITION signature, will open onsite too.
Also debuting later this year will be the Reykjavik EDITION in the Iceland capital. Located near the Harpa Concert Hall in the city’s downtown, the property will be crafted by New York-based firm Roman and Williams in collaboration with T.arch architects. The 250-room hotel will be crowned with a private rooftop and feature a nightlife space, ballroom, and four F&B options. Finally, the Dubai EDITION is set to open in late 2020 located just opposite the iconic Dubai Mall. The 210-room outpost will mark the brand’s collaboration with international firm LW Design Group and result in amenities such as seven F&B spaces, swimming pools, a spa, fitness center, and several event spaces.
