El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico, a recent addition to the Curio Collection by Hilton, is expected to reopen in October 2018. Managed and operated by Two Roads Hospitality property, the property introduced a $65 million renovation from Jeffrey beers International (JBI) last year and suffered damage in September 2017 due to the impact of Hurricane Maria. It is currently undergoing a renovation to restore its Old World elegance.
Appointed with a modern tropical splendor, the hotel will be updated with an appreciation for regional craftsmanship and a finger on the pulse of the city. Restored areas will include the ornamental handcarved mahogany that adorns the ceilings and arches of the lobby as well as columns throughout. All 388 guestrooms will boast a classical aesthetic that blends both history and modernity. Amenities including the Chandelier Bar, the ballrooms, Meat Market Miami steakhouse, Caña by Juliana Gonzalez, Aquarelle on the beach and pool areas, Well & Being Spa, and the fitness center, will be renewed as well.
