The arrival of Fairmont Golden Prague signals a new chapter for a landmark on Prague’s storied riverbank.
Reopening under the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts flag, the iconic building has emerged from a multimillion-euro renovation led by chief architect Marek Tichý, who paid homage to the original 1974 brutalist architecture by Karel Filsak.
The design details

Reception desk
Positioned at the gateway of Pařížská Boulevard in Prague’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, the 320-room property invites guests into interiors infused with warm wood tones, elegant modernist flourishes, and original Czech craftwork.
Preserved details—including blown glass chandeliers, gilded fixtures, and ash wood columns—were meticulously restored to blend with contemporary elements, and subtle incorporations of Czech glass artistry define room partitions and lighting.
F&B at Fairmont Golden Prague

Zlatá Praha restaurant
The hotel features distinctive F&B venues, including the Zlata Praha rooftop, which offers fine dining with sweeping city views, and Golden Eye, with its sleek cosmopolitan ambiance inspired by the 1970s.
Downstairs, Coocoo’s Nest is a lively social hub adjacent to an art gallery, while the Greenhouse is an all-day venue boasting views of the river and Prague Castle.
Art and amenities abound

Fairmont Spa & Wellness
Design and culture merge throughout the hotel, with an extensive art collection that juxtaposes pieces from the 1960s and ’70s with contemporary works, including chandeliers by René Roubíček and gilded ceiling sculptures by Čestmír Kafka.
A 15,000-square-foot Fairmont Spa & Wellness anchors Fairmont Golden Prague’s amenity lineup, offering treatment suites, a tranquil garden, three saunas, steam bath, and a fitness studio.
Event and meeting spaces include a column-free 6,460-square-foot ballroom and three rooftop boardrooms with private terraces.
