Spread across 48,440 square feet, the first forest RV park facing rivers in China has debuted along the banks of the Yangtze River’s Xiling Gorge. Designed by Fan Life, the Three Gorges RV Park comprises units designed to complement the existing terrain of the setting to further immerse visitors in the natural world.
Reception is housed within a single volume of steel and wood, and welcomes guests with a chandelier crafted from old wood and greenery to establish a natural tone. Cabins vary in shape, size, and aesthetic. Select units recall the scenery of northern Europe with mint green and wood tones and a staghorn chandelier. The Thai silk of southeast Asia is also channeled in cabins that house a wood composition behind a green façade. The American countryside comes to life with light wood flooring and ceilings that serve as a backdrop for a fabric sofa, while additional accommodations are endowed with rainforest- and Zen-inspired motifs.
The restaurant Caiqiao features a simple, natural atmosphere appointed with handmade rattan lamps to create a warm but striking visual impact. A bullhorn chandelier and black leather barstools also infuse exotic elements into the space, which is also flooded with natural light that illuminates the materiality of dark gray stone bricks.
