First Hospitality Group (FHG) has been selected to manage and develop a new hotel coming to Navy Pier in Chicago, envisioned to anchor the dining and entertainment development on the eastern half of the 50-acre pier, as was outlined in the Pier’s Centennial Vision. Locally based interior design and architecture firm KOO will design the property, working with builder James McHugh Construction.
The five-story, 200-room hotel will offer expansive views of the city as well as Lake Michigan, and is expected to cost $90 million. Switzerland-based real estate company Acron is partnering with FHG to assist in the development of the project.
Construction will kick off in 2017, and is expected to be completed by the second half of 2018.
