The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco’s Union Square has revealed its $45 million refresh from ForrestPerkins.
Remaining true to the beauty and architecture of the 1904-era building, ForrestPerkins took a residential design approach to the project. Upgrades to the 613 guestrooms include elegant and classic furniture alongside a palette of French gray and Parisian blue with gold accents. The renovation also saw the transformation of storage and office spaces into six new rooms. Three full bathrooms and two powder rooms were added to the hotel’s four luxury suites. Crafted with opulent marbles, each bathroom is anchored with historic moldings and cornices that contrast its modern features.
Corridors are lined with LED light fixtures as well as new millwork and natural stone portals that reimagine the the long expanse with intimate zones. Artwork, including dramatic murals, punctuate the hallways.
