A new aquatic-themed guestrooms are the latest upgrade to the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, which has introduced a series of enhancements this year from Coral Gables, Florida-based design firm EoA. Improved furnishings, fixtures, flooring, and cool-hued décor define the newly crafted accommodations, in addition to natural woods and textures and sea-inspired artwork. Mimicking the sunrise, striated carpeting imitates the reflection of the sun over the waves and sand. The beach aesthetic is also captured in the sand-colored lounge chairs, nightstands, ottomans, and other furnishings. Generously sized desks are accented in a quartz finish.
EoA drew design inspiration from South Florida’s New River, an underground waterway that emerged overnight following strong winds, according to the lore of Florida’s Seminole American Indian Tribe. The undulating details of guestroom headboards reflect the river’s movement.
The property has also unveiled a refreshed lobby. The sleek aesthetic is enhanced with new art installations as well as indoor greenery, ocean views, abundant seating, and neutral tones. Onsite eatery 3030 Ocean also underwent a three-month overhaul earlier this year, and now romantic lighting, modern artwork, and tempered glass walls have reinvented its dining experience.
