Found Hotels has announced plans to roll out seven to 10 new properties in key markets through 2020. New locations will house a variety of shared and private accommodations akin to a modern hostel.
The company recently launched a new boutique property in Chicago within a former single-room occupancy building transformed by John Sofio of Los Angeles-based design firm Built Inc. The 60-room Found Chicago features nine communal guestrooms and 51 private guestrooms in addition to a steakhouse, coffee shop, and speakeasy-like basement karaoke bar. Brass fixtures and 1970s-inspired furniture offer a whimsical aesthetic for an inviting communal concept. Sleeping areas are defined by a small and minimalist design to position communal spaces like kitchens and lounges for social interaction.
