Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of its newest property, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
Positioned on its own man-made island in Manama, Bahrain, the hotel offers panoramic sea and city views from all of its 273 rooms and suites. Taking inspiration from ocean travel, designer Pierre-Yves Rochon conceptualized the rooms, public spaces, and function areas. Rooms are decorated in rich colors and feature lounge chairs based on an original design for the French liner SS Normandie. Los Angeles-based Waldo Fernandez of Waldo’s Designs worked on the hotel’s Wolfgang Puck and Vento restaurants, and EDG designed the Bahrain Bay Kitchen.
Dining options include Vento, a poolside grill; Wolfgang Puck restaurants CUT, led by executive chef Ben Small and re Asian Cuisine, led by executive chef Brian Becher; and the Blue Moon Lounge, a Moroccan-inspired eatery. The lower lobby’s Bahrain Bay Kitchen features an open kitchen and sushi station.
Guests can choose from five different swim settings, including the Azure pool, indoor spa pool, saltwater experience, and free-form infinity pool. Offshore, a Bahraini-made, hexagonal platform with floating Ventus lounge boats affords an alternative aquatic experience.
The spa, one of the largest in the Four Seasons chain, includes 17 treatment rooms interspersed throughout four interconnecting garden buildings. Both indoor and outdoor function spaces are available for all occasions, with special features installed for weddings, such as the fully enclosed music room, photography room, and bride’s suite.
