Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has plans to develop the Four Seasons Hotel Dubai at Dubai International Finance Center (DIFC), which will join the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach as the company’s second Dubai property.
“Our entry into Dubai has been extremely well received by locals and global travelers alike, and we are very pleased to be able to offer them a second Four Seasons experience in the city,” says Allen Smith, Four Seasons’ president and CEO. “We look forward to building on our reputation with our second hotel, at the epicenter of the financial district.”
“In line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE, we believe our latest investment in the hospitality sector will further open up opportunities for continued growth and contribute to Dubai’s status as a major luxury tourist destination,” says Shahab Lutfi, CEO of Bright Start, which also owns Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. “The strategic location within the DIFC was carefully chosen to cater to high-end business travelers.”
New York-based Tihany Design, which also completed several of the restaurants at the Jumeirah Beach property, will design the new 106-room hotel’s modern interiors with bespoke details.
Amenities will include four executive-style meeting rooms, a 24-hour restaurant, a tea lounge, an 8th floor skybar, cigar room on the mezzanine, a spa and fitness center, and a rooftop garden.
The Four Seasons Hotel Dubai at DIFC is slated to open in 2016.
