Located in Sonoma County, the Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, California will unveil its $175 million expansion this November.
Las Vegas and Newport Beach, California-based architecture and design firm Friedmutter Group crafted a modern take on the existing casino. Contemporary elements will be infused to create a sense of casual California elegance.
The new opulent lobby welcomes guests with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the newly installed outdoor resort-style pool area. Contemporary artwork will be showcased in the lobby and corridors while the lobby bar will feature organic materials and natural colors that serve as a fresh complement to the property’s lush landscape.
The new six-story hotel will house 200 guestrooms and suites, ranging in size from 500 square feet to 2,600 square feet. A modern, monochromatic room scheme is rich in textures, while large-scale floral artwork will add a splash of color to guestrooms, accenting chocolate brown tones, chenille, bronze metal finishes, and linen-like carpet designs.
In addition, 12 suites will feature a wet bar, contemporary furniture, and designs influenced by Sonoma wine country. For instance, rich colors and natural elements complement marble countertops and white, gray, and brown walls reminiscent of the region’s hills.
New additions will also include 20,000 square feet of event space, a 10,000-square-foot spa, and an adjacent fitness center.
