Louisville-based Swope Design Group has revealed the redesign of the West Tower of the Galt House Hotel. Part of an extensive $80 million renovation, the famed Kentucky property’s East Tower will also reopen later this summer.
Renovations to the West Tower include updates to 130,000 square feet of meeting space, lobby, and 639 accommodations. Each guestroom and suite has been transformed with new wood flooring and carpeting to establish a timeless dark-meets-light palette that’s accented by playful furnishings, textured upholstery, bedding, and light fixtures. Two new open-air F&B concepts have also debuted within the West Tower: the American brasserie Walker’s Exchange and the bourbon bar Jockey Silks.
