Gerber Group has announced that it will oversee the Pool Bar and Observation Deck as well as the Sunken Lounge at the forthcoming TWA Hotel, which is slated to debut next month at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York.
The Pool Bar and Observation Deck will be endowed with a 1,260-square-foot infinity edge pool to provide relief during summer months, while the space will be transformed into a large pool-cuzzi during the winter. Inspired by the infinity edge pool at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France, the pool will also be equipped with a filtration system that purifies the water every 30 minutes. In addition to beach entry and underwater seating, the 100,000-square-foot observation deck will frame views of one of the airport’s busiest runways.
