Graduate Hotels continues its domestic expansion with the launch of its newest hotel in Bloomington, Indiana. Arriving on the heels of the Graduate East Lansing in Michigan, the Graduate Bloomington is located in close proximity to Indiana University and radiates Hoosier pride in its design from AJ Capital Partners.
The six-story, 150-room hotel honors cultural and daily life with more than 20 exclusive wallpaper designs that reference the many visits of the Dalai Lama and the Little 500 bike race, amongst others. Chandeliers crafted from vintage basketball hoops suspend over bleachers sourced from local gyms. Championship banners and keycards pay homage to Indiana’s basketball history and the classic film Hoosiers. Crossword puzzle floor patterns inspired by Indiana University alumnus Will Shortz, the current crossword puzzle editor for The New York Times, also span the lobby.
Included among the hotel’s 8,600 square feet of meeting and event space are three ballrooms, two outdoor terraces, and a courtyard. Poindexter Coffee functions as the lobby’s café concept.
