AJ Capital Partners has announced its acquisition of the DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre in England. Operating as a Hilton brand through the end of 2019, the hotel will undergo a rebranding in early 2020 to become the Graduate Cambridge. This also marks the first Graduate property to debut outside of the U.S.
The 148-key hotel’s architecture and interiors will draw upon the region’s extensive history and academic traditions, while pooling inspiration from its riverside location with dark woods and architectural elements. The redesign will be handled by Andrew Alford, the brand’s chief creative officer, and will provoke curiosity fueled by details like whimsical fabrics and localized décor.
