Hyatt has opened theĀ Grand Hyatt AthensĀ in the Greek capital. Located in close proximity to major attractions including the Onassis Cultural Center, the 309-room luxury concept joins the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki with historic-inspired architecture that complements a contemporary design. This is the first Grand Hyatt to debut in the country.
An opulent lobby punctuates the arrival experience with an art installation known as the Coin, which references ancient Athenian currency. The hotel includes nearly 40 suites, as well as four grand executive suites that boast terraces with framed views of the cityscape or internal gardens.
Overlooking the Acropolis, the hotel’s rooftop is home to a restaurant and outdoor pool, while the lobby lounge and bar Aphrodite provides a more laidback F&B experience. In addition to 21,500 square feet of versatile meeting and event space, including seven meeting rooms, a four-room wellness center is home to an indoor heated pool, relaxation lounges, a sauna, and a Hammam, which will round out the spa when it opens in early 2019.
