The Grayson Hotel has debuted in the heart of Manhattan, just a block away from Bryant Park.
Crafted in homage to the industrial character of New York at the turn of the 19th century, the new build’s aesthetic was designed by Italian studio Marcello Pozzi Architecture & Design to highlight the city’s grit and glamour. “Paying homage to the industrialization of New York, the design blends the stark contrast of raw and refined, industrial and guild,” says the firm’s founder and principal Marcello Pozzi. “We wanted Grayson to be a place where guests feel New York City’s defining grace and grit through its design—incorporating touches of unfinished elements next to glamorous elements.”

The interior of Bar Cima
The arrival experience is punctuated by a two-story helical staircase that links the ground floor to Bar Harta, a soon-to-open wine and tapas bar offering indoor-outdoor dining on the second floor. The ground floor is anchored by Mediterranean brasserie Harta, while Bar Cima, an intimate rooftop mezcaleria, is set against views of the skyline and Empire State Building on hotel’s 28th floor. A polished Mexican-meets-Brazilian aesthetic manifests through walnut and brass doors, patterned, jewel-toned velvet seating, custom stone tables attached to intricately carved bases, and a mirrored ceiling. The Grayson Hotel’s dining lineup will expand further this spring with the addition of Tacalle, a greenery-filled taco garden. (Locally based firm Dutch East Design spearheaded the interior design of all four F&B concepts.)
In each of the 296 guestrooms, raw concrete ceilings infuse a rustic charm above a blend of steel and glass juxtaposed with lacquered wood, rattan, and gold accents that instill a tactile sense of place.
