Renaissance Montreal will debut next month, designed by locally based Groupe Daca.
Managed by Urgo Hotels Canada, the 142-room downtown hotel is located in the building that was once home to the Canada Post, with key structural aspects, such as its mirrored glass Art Deco façade, preserved.
In contrast to this exterior, a sleek lobby features an array of vibrant street art and modern furniture, marble and walnut elements, and original works signed by Cult Nation—a local group that aims foster up-and-coming musicians.
Accommodations range in size from a 400-square-foot king guestroom to an 800-square-foot penthouse suite with its own private outdoor terrace and Jacuzzi. Each will display drawings by a local artist.
Amenities will include 1,800 square feet of meeting space that spans three rooms; a fitness center; the lobby-level East restaurant helmed by restaurateur Ladi Cheng, which will serve modern Pan-Asian cuisine; and a rooftop lounge on the 12th floor, which offers a full bar, bistro kitchen, stainless steel plunge pool, and panoramic views.
