Bethesda, Maryland-based firm GTM Architects has completed work on the Long Reach Tennis Club in nearby Columbia, Maryland. The 49,000-square-foot facility is home to six climate-controlled courts as well as centrally located amenities like a clubhouse, viewing lounge, pro shop, and bar.
Constructed with a pre-engineered steel frame, the structure also promotes sustainability with a network of solar panels, LED court lighting, electric car charging stations, above-code insulation, HVAC systems, and an onsite bio-retention complex. The project, which was led by GTM partner David Konapelsky, associate Traci Weems, and project coordinator Karina Perez-Ayalde, is the latest sports facility in the firm’s portfolio, following the completion of the Owen Brown Tennis Clubhouse and the Tennis Center at College Park.
