Hard Rock International has announced that it will launch its third European resort property in 2020 with the debut of the Hard Rock Hotel Malta. Joining the brand’s locations in Ibiza and Tenerife, the seafront resort will be introduced as part of the new mixed-use db City Centre development. The resort will house 370 guestrooms, including 110 suites with balconies, and designs from London’s Jestico & Whiles and the Milan-based firm MYGG Architecture.
The property will pay homage to Malta’s accommodations quarters building for the British military during the 19th century, a historic site that will also be restored before the hotel’s opening.
In addition to a variety of F&B options, including the brand’s signature rooftop concept Skybar, the Hard Rock Hotel Malta will be outfitted with several pools, the Body Rock fitness center, and the 16,000-square-foot Rock Spa. Among the hotel’s more than 37,000 square feet of function space will be the island’s largest convention center.
