Construction has begun on the expansion of Harrah’s Resort Southern California in Valley Center. The new addition includes an in-house brewery, 22 new guestrooms, new meeting venues, and dining options.
Las Vegas-based architecture and design firm Friedmutter Group will craft the new spaces excluding F&B options. Guestrooms will feature Vitamin C-infused showers, built-in ceiling speakers, and in-room fitness equipment. The onsite fitness center will be relocated to a 3,000-square-foot space and receive significant upgrades. The resort’s South Tower will debut four new meeting rooms spread across more than 2,500 square feet and a mile-long nature trail has been installed along the nearby San Luis Rey River.
The in-house brewery SR76—named for former State Road 76 that once ran adjacent to the property—will be the first casino and Native American-owned craft brewery in Southern California, offering F&B options that honor the history and agriculture of the region. KJ Chinese Kitchen will also launch its second location at Harrah’s, while smoothie concept Robek’s will launch its first location within a casino.
The spa’s makeover includes a barbershop, salon, and new amenities like a salt bath and will arrive in the summer of 2017; the rest of the expansion will be unveiled before the end of the year.
