Hilton Worldwide has announced a partnership with Al-Rai Real Estate, a Mabanee company, to develop Conrad and Hilton Garden Inn properties in Kuwait City. Slated to arrive in 2019, both hotels will be part of the nearly $1 billion expansion project at the Avenues Mall in Kuwait City. Located on opposite ends of the retail complex, both properties will be managed by Hilton.
The 158-room Conrad Kuwait will be in the mall’s Prestige district, and house a ballroom, numerous dining options, and an outdoor pool and spa. The design will complement the aesthetic of the mall, with matching copper and rare Portoro stone imported from Italian mountains. The Hilton Garden Inn Kuwait is slated to become the brand’s largest in the EMEA region. The hotel features 430 guestrooms and a main entrance in the Forum, which will offer a central meeting space within the mall. It will be adjacent to the mall’s Electra district, which is inspired by the vibrancy and technology of cities like Tokyo and Hong Kong.
