Canopy by Hilton has celebrated the groundbreaking of the latest property to join its growing portfolio, the Canopy by Hilton Charlotte SouthPark. Slated for a spring 2020 opening, the 150-room hotel will be Hilton’s first in North Carolina.
Design elements draw inspiration from the heritage of the upscale neighborhood with millwork finishes, marble countertops, and subtle earth tones. The local community will inspire the onsite art collection, which will highlight custom artwork. Handpicked artwork will also punctuate each of the hotel’s guestrooms, which will include 16 suites. The Canopy Central Café and Bar will serve as the sole F&B option onsite, while the English garden and grand ballroom will serve as the centerpiece of the property’s 9,000 square feet of meeting and event space. A transfer lounge will accommodate on-the-go travelers.
