Hoshino Resorts will launch its first Hoshinoya luxury resort in the region of Guguan outside of Taichung, Taiwan. The 50-room resort will serve as a seamless extension of its natural surroundings at the foothills of the Taiwan Central Mountain Range.
The natural spring waters of the valley will irrigate the outdoor Water Garden, which will encompass a wooded glen. Here, outdoor baths and a bamboo grove act as natural accents. Hoshinoya Guguan’s oversized public bath will be modeled after a traditional Japanese onsen while featuring contemporary design details that reference the greenery of the region. In addition to the onsite dining experience, a pool, library, and spa will also be included among the amenities lineup.
Five configurations will span the accommodations, ranging from intimate two-person Shui and Yue rooms—approximately 800 and 1,130 square feet, respectively—to seven-person Sen rooms, which host three bedrooms and a terrace across more than 2,300 square feet. All accommodations will be endowed with semi-open bathtubs and views of the scenery as well.
