Hotel Arena, located in the St. Elisabeth Guesthouse in eastern Amsterdam, is set to unveil its redesign from locally based practices TeamV Architecture and Tank Interior Design this September. The 118,400-square-foot property’s makeover will establish a balance between the historic setting and the modern Oosterpark.
A new parkside entrance and terrace will serve as a gateway to the city while further anchoring Hotel Arena within the park. Welcoming open structures, glass walls, greenery, and earthy tones will evoke a classic Amsterdam feel, and a brand new wing will expand the room count by 16. Reimagined rooms from the original building will convey a personal, boutique quality.
The historic chapel and a new gallery space will serve as the hotel’s main venues for concerts, debates, screenings, and more, and five new studios and a sundrenched patio act as a meeting space. The vegetable-centric eatery Park will integrate culinary elements sourced from the onsite herb garden.
