The newly opened Hotel Bourré Bonne Louisville, Curio Collection by Hilton brings a bold, art-infused hospitality concept to downtown Louisville.
Developed by Zyyo and designed in collaboration with Mark Zeff, the 168-room hotel pairs refined design with culinary destinations and a rooftop experience.
Taking its name from the playful French-English phrase “bourré bonne,” or “good bet,” the hotel nods to Kentucky’s French bourbon roots and its celebrated horse racing culture.
A sculptural black façade with graceful arches references the city’s historic cast-iron architecture, while an oxidized horse head sculpture welcomes guests at the entry. Inside the lobby, deconstructed bourbon barrels line the ceiling, offering a subtle tribute to the state’s distilling legacy.
A design-forward tribute to Kentucky
Zeff and Zyyo’s in-house team infused the hotel’s interiors with warm, tactile materials, including polished and raw concrete, custom woodwork, and a palette inspired by the earthy hues of the Bluegrass region.
Throughout the property, Commissioned art tells a hyperlocal story. A sculptural installation composed of iconic Kentucky texts anchors the lobby, while murals by local artists—like Tyler Robertson and Sabra Crockett—celebrate the region’s cultural landscape.
Accommodations and F&B at Hotel Bourré Bonne Louisville
Guestrooms—including four suites and 16 deluxe rooms—balance midcentury simplicity with custom headboards and curated art.
The hotel also introduces two dining venues from restaurateur Kevin Grangier, who is known for Louisville favorites Le Moo and Grassa Gramma. On the ground floor, Steakhouse Bourré Bonne features moody, glam interiors punctuated by brocade chairs, art from Grangier’s private collection, and an open sculptural kitchen.
Above, Rooftop Bourré Bonne spans 6,000 square feet and offers an indoor-outdoor lounge, exclusive cabanas, poolside service, and panoramic views of the city.
Events with a view
The hotel features more than 7,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a ballroom with floor-to-ceiling views of the Ohio River and Whiskey Row, two boardrooms, and an expansive pre-function area with its own bar and rooftop access.
