Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo has completed the third phase of its renovation. The 5-Star property is slated to finish revitalizing 241 of its 267 guestrooms and suites by the end of 2017. In anticipation of its official unveiling, the hotel has previewed its new suite crafted by Tokyo-based 240 Design Studio, Kanazawa, Japan-based Blue Quince, and Age Design.
The suite houses two Japanese-style rooms, clad with tatami mats and can accommodate up to six guests. Minimalist elements reminiscent of traditional teahouses are featured in the suite alongside décor highlighting Japanese craftsmanship. Details such as camellia trees, mikage stones, and aromatic cypress accessories add authenticity. Modern details include portable waterproof TVs and two stylish minibar areas.
The property’s upgrade includes the Pagoda lounge, available exclusively to suite guests. The upscale lounge offers garden views, an audio system, and a water bar—the first of its kind in Japan—with more than 20 types of water sourced from around the country.
