Overlooking the Adriatic Sea and its namesake beach, the Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is set to reveal the first phase of renovation as part of a three-year plan to modernize the Venetian landmark. Initial renovations will include refreshes that honor the historic Venetian-Byzantine style of the property. The masterplan is spearheaded by London & Regional Properties Group, which holds a portfolio of nearly 12,000 guestrooms.
Sophisticated, modern finishes will adorn the hotel along with a façade and cupola restored following a 2014 fire. This June will see the arrival of the beachfront restaurant La Taverna, which will reflect the traditions of Italy rooted in the overall renovations. Additional phases of the masterplan will be engaged over the next two years, focusing on updates to the 197 accommodations and F&B concepts.
