The Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo South has debuted alongside the Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo North, which launched in July 2016. The new opening brings the combined room count to 225. All 97 accommodations at the Sanjo North are double rooms, while the 128 rooms in the Sanjo South are twin rooms.
Toyo Architects and Engineers Office executed the design, which complements the neighboring hotel. In homage to Kyoto’s legacy as the birthplace of Kabuki—the 500-year-old Japanese theater—Sanjo South houses two themed rooms. The Kabuki and Kyoto guestrooms offer unique localized character, while the corridor linking the two hotels is lined with colorful paintings of Kabuki actors and traditional lanterns. Onsite amenities include the restaurant Bon Salute.
