Hotel Haya will debut later this month in Tampa’s landmarked Ybor City district. For its design, locally based firm Alfonso Architects, Inc. draws upon the region’s Cuban, Italian, and Spanish influences in order to fuse together two historic volumes—making Hotel Haya the largest property in Aparium Hotel Group’s current portfolio.
Home to 178 guestrooms and suites, the forthcoming boutique concept will evoke a nostalgic midcentury Cuban aesthetic, featuring fabrics and colors in warm shades of blue, red, brown, and gold. Exposed brick walls and a medley of classic and contemporary artwork—including four large Francisco Goya reproductions—will tether the transformed buildings to the Old World. The secluded courtyard pool will serve as a key social hub, accented with lush greenery and Italian white tiles, along with three F&B options, including upscale Latin eatery Flor Fina and the charming Café Quiquiriqui. Additionally, a 4,000-square-foot ballroom will serve as the centerpiece of the onsite meeting and event spaces.
