Hotel Indigo has opened its third hotel in Italy, the Hotel Indigo Milan – Corso Monforte, at one of the most fashionable districts of the city. Milan’s fashion culture and history is showcased in the interior design, which blends vintage 1950s Italian style with contemporary notes.
Bold prints and colorful hues accent the 75 guestrooms alongside sketches from Biki, one of the most prominent names in the city’s fashion scene throughout the early to mid-20th century. Historic, leather-bound trunks, hat box-inspired bedside tables, bowler hat lamps, and sewing machine desks further perpetuate the influence of the fashion industry on the interiors. Original details like coffered ceilings and wall panels recall the classic heritage of the site, while large arches frame the interior courtyard.
