The former Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville, California has been reborn as the Hotel Villagio following its multimillion-dollar overhaul to complete the rebranding of the Estate Yountville. Located in the heart of California wine country, the Hotel Villagio offers a vibrant, social enclave thanks to fully reimagined guestrooms and an innovative spa experience.
Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) oversaw the redesign of the property in collaboration with SB Architects, which spearheaded the exterior transformations. The understated elegance of the region steered the overhaul, which also integrated a curated art program into the estate, in the form of playful pop artwork that references Napa Valley. A new lighting design also reinforces the subtle opulence of the interiors.
Warm woods, dark stone, and industrial metal lighting adorns the lobby that overlooks the resort’s private vineyard. Anchored by a stylish pool table, the lobby features ceilings outfitted with wooden beams and dramatic trusses, while the Bar & Lounge at Hotel Villagio functions as the social hub of the property. Comprising 112 guestrooms and 22 suites, the hotel’s polished accommodations boast streamlined fireplaces and sun-tapped terraces, as well as hand-knotted rugs and wood plank floors. Mahogany headboard walls inject a dash of romance into each space along with the juxtaposition of industrial and rustic details. Open wood and iron closets maximize space, while freestanding soaking tubs will be illuminated with formal lighting to establish sensual ambiance in the marble bathrooms.
