Los Angeles-based practice StudioHBA has completed the redesign of the Hyatt Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach, California. The beachfront property is adorned with a new Mediterranean-inspired style for each of the resort’s 517 guestrooms and suites.
Accommodations now take on a residential ambiance with color schemes reminiscent of the sand and sky, as well as intricately detailed custom furnishings, grass cloth wallcoverings, and vintage coastal artwork. Faceted wood features detail each oversized dresser, while carpet and drapery patterns convey a Spanish influence. Coral sculptures, handpainted Mediterranean tile, and wrought iron accents also furnish the interiors, which are also equipped with updated bathrooms.
Two new configurations have been added to the guestroom lineup as well. Six new firepit guestrooms seamlessly connect indoor spaces with lush and private outdoor oases aptly appointed with fire pits. Nineteen new family guestrooms have also been added, endowed with both king and queen beds, walk-in closets, and luxe bathrooms that boast spacious bathtubs and separate showers.
