Hyatt Hotels Corporation and McGough Development have announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Bloomington-Minneapolis, which is located in McGough’s Bloomington Central Station mixed-use development site near the Mall of America. The hotel offers 303 guestrooms, including 14 suites, and is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.
“The hotel is key to rounding out the vision for Bloomington Central Station,” says Mark Fabel, vice president of development for McGough. “We want visitors and residents to feel the sense of contemporary generosity for which the Midwest is known.”
The Hyatt Regency Bloomington-Minneapolis is one of the few hotels in the Minneapolis area within walking distance to a park and outdoor spaces, as well the Blue Line light rail. The 289 guestrooms vary in size from deluxe rooms with two queen-sized beds or one king bed, or deluxe king guestrooms with a contemporary sitting area. The 14 Regency Club suites offer exclusive access to the Regency Club lounge.
Other amenities include a fitness facility and indoor pool; 15,000 square feet of multipurpose meeting space equipped with wireless technology; and the Urbana Craft Kitchen & Market, a restaurant by chef Paul Lynch that uses locally sourced ingredients.
